Migration – Understanding the process

ADVICE FOR MIGRATION OPPORTUNITIES:

All our clients have different needs and are unique. We like to think we can take the stress out of the application process.  Our experienced staff and personalized service will guide our clients through;

  • Eligibility of different visa types
  • Required documentation
  • Changes to visa requirements

We provide a checklist to our clients to prepare and compile relevant documents for a smooth process in visa application submission.

SKILL ASSESSMENT:

If you are applying for one of the following visa types and streams (see below) you may need to have your skills assed.

  • General Skilled Migration (GSM) visas
  • Employer Sponsored visas
  • Temporary Skill Shortage visa (TSS)
  • Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485)

Depending on the visa and field the relevant assessment body will need to review your application. We mostly work with:

Australian Computer Society (ACS)

Certified Practicing Accountants of Australia (CPAA)

National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI)

Institution of Engineers, Australia (IEA)

Vocational Education and Training Assessment Services (VETASSESS)

SUBMISSION OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

When a skill assessment body has confirmed our client’s skill set, our team will commence researching the visa options available. The team will compile documents including an EOI – Expression of Interest.

Points based skilled Migration program

An applicant will be ranked according to score of the appropriate points test. The EOI is to be completed and it will be stored with Skill Select for two years.  It is critical that all applicants compile all the right information in detail. If the document is not finalized and the expression of Interest do not comply with the terms and conditions, Skill Select body can have your details removed.

Invitation to lodge visa

Depending on the type of Visa the client is applying for, an invitation to lodge a visa application may be received. This type of Invitation is issued systematically by Skill Select program. Invitations are awarded to the highest ranking EOI Expression of Interest. These invitations are subject to occupation listing capacity at any point in time. These invitations are usually assessed and issued on a monthly basis.

VISA PROCESSING:

If an invitation has been received, at this point the application can submit the final details to DoHA (Department of Home Affairs).  The team at Vision will assist clients with a checklist of ensuring all the relevant documents are ready to finalize the application.

With our dedicated service and expertise in visa lodgment, we aim for successful outcomes.
