Are you in Australia and looking forward to bring your partner here? Well, re-uniting with your partner can be the utmost relief for hundreds of international skilled workers and international students who are currently in Australia. The Department of Home Affairs has always encouraged relieved processing times and application processes for partner visa so that people can re-unite with their companions.

On 23rd May 2019, the Australian Immigration Department released the visa processing times for the April 2019 applicants. Pertaining to this, it will be important to note here that although the figures released by the immigration department show the global averages for the first 75% and last 10%, in reality the applications processed in the month of April 2019 took on average a lot lesser time than those quoted in the first figures.

In addition to this, it would be worth mentioning here that the applications that take considerably longer processing times may be subjected to extra review required and security/documentation checks. These may be caused either due to incomplete paper work and/or documentation, missing files, incorrect/invalid entries and also the applicant from being certain countries where added security checks need to be done.
